Active Camera Question

Recommended Posts

Guest byoung

I don't use VC's. What else can I use Active Camera for? Can I record my landing and view it later?Seems like a reasonably priced add-on.Just curious as to what people use it for.Barry

Yeah most features relate to the VC. You can also use the mouse to pan and the wheel to zoom in the external view and the approach view is quite fun but I wouldn't really buy it only for those features. The most "fun" feature is the simulation of head lag and turbulence (in VC) and you can also have it play sounds for various events such as the sound of turbulent airflow when you approach a stall (this sound somtimes locks up and keeps repeating even after you've recovered from the stall especially when doing full-stall landings with taildraggers...very annoying) and the sound of your butt being pushed into the seat if you pull some G's or land hard :(

Jim, it pays a newbie such as myself to read these forums! I just spotted your comment about "gradual transitions". I didn't no that there was a menu option for that. It's always bugged me that spot plane's viewpoint has a mind of it's own when the attitude of the plane changes. Thanks!David

Also, I should have added that after you change this option you need to re-save your start-up flight or it will change back next time you start up FS. So the steps are: load your default flight, change the View settings, and the re-save your default flight.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

I have been looking everywhere to find an answer to that but have found none.
