February 10, 201412 yr Hi everyone, before buying it I have two questions regarding the Wilco Airbus Vol 1 (with SP 1 and 2 applied). 1. In the FMC can you select non-precision approaches for any airports (provided of course they are included in the navdata)? For example are GPS approaches displayed? 2.) Is the aircraft able to fly these non-precision approaches in VNAV(or managed mode as I think it is called with airbus) mode down to MDA or is it only possible to use V/S`mode for non precision approaches? Also is there any difference regarding these 2 question between Wilco Airbus Vol1 and Wilco Airbus Evolution? Thanks hope somebody point this out, Have a nice day, Oliver
February 10, 201412 yr One of the biggest differences, next to systems, between those two titles is that the non-Evolution Airbuses are supported by their developer Feelthere, while the Evolution-upgraded Buses are supported by Wilco only. I don't have issues with the Evolution series, and I consider them an improvement over the FT Buses, but one-on-one support from Wilco is hard to obtain. I believe the Evolution Buses are capable of RNAV approaches (they need a more current navigraph cycle, though), but I haven't gathered much experience in them performing those approach types, I'm afraid. Sorry, so I can't comment on the "quality" (precision) of those approaches. Have you considered buying the Aerosoft "Extended" Airbus instead? It's visually up-to-date and its systems and autopilot modes have improved 'til today's version 1.16. What happened to AVSIM
February 15, 201412 yr feelThere no longer supports the Airbus release ... hasn't supported these Wilco products in years. D. Scobie, feelThere support forum moderator: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/169-feelthere-support-forums/
February 17, 201412 yr Author Well Scoob, thanks very much for your answer, but it somehow misses the point. My question was not whether or not Wilco still supports the airbus series product but whether this product in its latest version is able to perform specific tasks/contains certain features.Thats all. @Olli thank you for your extensive answer.I would really consider the Aerosoft Airbus, however as of now I'm still stuck with FS9 so this unfortunately is out of the question. Still thank you again for replying in lenght to my querie. Have a nice day , Oliver
