With Peter´s A321 into bad weather (tweaked XPX)

Featured Replies

Hi there!

A lot of good stuff happening lately: All the nice findings about cloud shadows, raleigh tweaks, the updated SAAB, and now the long awaited 3D cockpit for Peter Hager´s fantastic A321.

Enjoy some pics of my flight from LOWW to EDDT into some really nasty weather, with low overcast clouds and heavy turbulence on approach:

man those cloud shadows. so good

They are a joy to behold aren't they.

Unfortunately, as you can just about pick up on a couple of these pics, they also seem to show above the clouds at present:(

You're right. The clouds cast their shadows onto the plane, flying above them, also. Sometimes, when I move the viewpoint around the aircraft, the sun reflects on the plane again as it should.

I am not an xplane fan but I must admit the cloud shadows are looking really good. Does anyone know if there are any sort of autogen improvements in the pipeline? It's hard to explain but they look to me blend and colors are looking the same.. Anyways not being critical, I am looking forward to see what's coming with XP, it is def. looking better and better.. and thank you for posting these great shots!!!

You're absolutely right! But one has to see it in person! The pics might give you an idea, but I am totally blown away when these shadows, these colours and this lighting is happening right in front if me! ;-)
