Popping clouds

Recommended Posts

I Use skymaxx pro 1.3

Is there any reason why the clouds 'pop' in front of me? Or when I look to the left ( I use Track-IR) they pop in to place and out again?

Also, I just did an approach, and as I got lower the clouds started popping from white to grey in front of me?!

I hope this is the right place to ask this?

I don't know if it affects it but I have the Raleigh tweaks applied.

Thanks

Ian

If the clouds are near the camera, you're probably seeing the clouds re-sorting themselves. Sometimes if you have two clouds that are pretty much on top of each other, their sort order can change with the viewing angle. The reason why is involved, but it comes down to a tradeoff made for performance - sorting entire clouds instead of individual puffs is much faster.
