SimConnect Client installed by FSXFollow

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Helped a friend of mine this evening to install the FSXFollow client on his FSX computer. Went through the whole install and everything seemed fine (and still is), but I don't like programs that installs other things. I thought SimConnect was a part of FSX, but after the install two new entries were made in his CP in Windows. One for FSXFollow and one for a SimConnect client thing that installed together with the program.

Is this SimConnect Client necessary? I guess it is, but if I decide not to take advantage of the FSXFollow, I am asking the question... Will an uninstall of the SimConnect client do any harm on his install?

Is there any of you that have any thoughts regarding this? :)
