Use of the rudder when rolling

Recommended Posts

In an aircraft like the 737 which has yaw dumper, is it still necessary to move the rudder when rolling?

In the simulator I never use it and still everything seems to go well but I don't know....how pilots do it in real life?

Ty.

I'll quote the 737NG FCOM:

Either yaw damper is capable of providing dutch roll prevention, gust damping and turn coordination.

So no, you do not have to use rudder pedals for coordinated turns.
