He's so lucky it missed his head. We'd be looking at a much different outcome. Props to him for holding it together all the way down to the ground.

This is the second video of an in-flight bird strike through the pilot's windscreen. I suppose it is a result of the ubiquity of GoPro cameras being used these days.

Yeah I doubt the rate of these incidences has increased but a ton of people now film their flights with a gopro. Wonder if the increase in cockpit videos, especially those now being posted on major news sources, will cause a resurgence in interest in personal aviation?

 

There's no doubt the GoPro has causing a resurgence or peaked an interest in other hobbies.
