This is a significant discovery for users of DX10 who use more than one monitor.

Having followed the sound advice found in your excellent guide, Paul, Single screen vsync has been functioning perfectly well for me in DX10 , but I could not find a way to eliminate the ugly tearing from lack of vsync when using three monitors until this fix came along.

I actually reverted to DX9 for the last couple of weeks due to the ugly tearing in DX10 when using my multi monitor set up.  With this fix I'm thrilled to be back running DX10!

I'm simply using D3DOverrider set up as described in this thread with separate views(not Nvidia Surround) on each of three monitors for a wide panorama with fully functioning vsync.

Thanks all!

Simon

I had the vsync problem with one monitor too.

This has now been incorporated into the "How-To" guide, and I want to thank Jeff Thomson, Joe ("Superglide17" Brown, and Jose "DJJose"for their efforts and input here!

Thanks all,

Paul

I like to run FSX with FPS unlimited. Can you help me with the best settings?

I have the NI settings like your how to, except the vsync that I have at Force on. With the new D3doverider is fine. If I did without it I lose vsync. So now with D3doverider is fine.

If I put the 1/2 option I get less FPS and less smooth I think. I always run fsx unlimited.

8xCSAA and 4SGSS.

Is good? Any recommendations?

I think i have a perfect FSX now...runs very very good i think. D3Doverider is very good for me!

Hey pj I just installed rave tuner and ran D3DOverride everything is good, but accidentally ran riva tuner it built library or something or other not sure what it did but hope I did not mess anything up. Have not notice anything but was just wondering, Thanks.

I think you can move the D3DOverrider completely outside of the RivaTuner folder. I'll go do it right now and come back in a minute or so.

D3DOverrider is a stand alone program. You do not need RevaTuner.

Thanks, I understand that, Jose, (you said that in the second post) but I couldn't find it as a stand-alone for download anywhere, (the b****y adverts "Download here", "Download there" big stupid green catch-your-eye" rectangles (yes I know most of them are advertizing garbage and some are the real thing, and I can tell the difference... it's just the aggravation of plowing through ten sites/pages to get to the one you need) (OK rant finished) nor could I find Jeff Thomson's posts. So I d/l'd RivaTuner complete, and this afternoon, removed the D3DO from it, and uninstalled RT, but on launching D3DO I didn't get a systray icon - but then, I didn't reboot either. I think it needs that as it's a pretty low-level app. Would you post a link, Jose, please?

Mucho Gratzy.

OK - thanks, Jose88. I just d/d it from http://www.gamefront.com/files/20116422, but I like the look of your site much better, so that's the site that's now in the "How-To" guide.

Or you can upload it to your Dropbox account for example.

I've just downloaded, started and tested in FSX....Brilliant! I had some vsynch  issues but not so much as to really cause grief. Turning my head quickly from side to side and the monitor couldn't play catchup fast enough. Now I can shake my head like a dog with water in it's ear and NO tearing...at all.

So I simply let it run on Windows startup and forget it?

Oh, and FSX doesn't mind starting on my main screen now. Only one more thing to fix. The dreaded flickering hourglass if you mess with a pop-up window on your small screen.

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

'Allo - 'Allo - 'Allo, Wot goes on 'ere??

G'd Evenin' Ron.. I picked up a 27" 2560 x 1600 monitor the other day, and put the TH2Go in the corner... I guess I could grab one of those (now obsolsclecs rednuntan spare) 19" monitors, and see what makes your hourglass tick...

2). That Backcountry Prop Club of yours... Is it still extant?

Sorry Paul,

I should have posted a link. I just checked in and noticed Jose (LOL) took care of it for me.

Set it and forget it! I just wanted to take this moment to thank you Sir for all your winderful repaints.
