LM found main cause of vegetation-related OOMs

You might be right, but don't forget that Lockheed Martin cater mainly to the training market

Why do you think LM tacitly opened the market up to desktop pilots?   Despite the E__A, there is no question they took no pains to insure the market was not restricted to commercial users.    I'd like to see them define the difference between 'entertainment' and 'training' and get this fully out into the open quite frankly.  If it's really targeted for training then users should have produce evidence they are in training, else it's just a sham really, the E__A that is.  I know, it's taboo to mention the E__A, but hey it's a dark area and it's good to shine light on the darkness of ambiguity!

And no, I have not overlooked it and still do not believe that with a sufficient team of full-time developers it take six years to have a next generation simulator up and running.

That would completely depend on what is meant by 'a sufficient team of FT devs...'   My definition of a 'sufficient team' would be one funded well enough, large enough, to crank this out in 2-3 years ;o)

You're confusing entertainment with home use. According to the Prepar3D 2.0 introduction news post (http://www.prepar3d.com/news/2013/11/4648/), Prepar3D can be used for training, instruction, learning and simulation, and Lockheed Martin have made it clear that Prepar3D can be used at home, but entertainment is strictly prohibited. So this means that with the right licence (Academic if you're a K-12 student or an undergraduate, Professional if you are any older) anyone can use Prepar3D, but you're not supposed to use it for entertainment like you would do with any other game. And I'm pretty sure that all of us in here are treating Prepar3D as a simulator, not as a game.

I agree that they're not so strict about training use, but when I visit the Prepar3D product page, all I see is "training" and "training scenario". I didn't say that they only allow training use, but they cater mainly to the training market.

Getting back on topic, is there any further information on the fixes for the terrain files not being removed, thus adding to the OOM issue?
