March 2, 201412 yr I guess I'm the only one who thinks the Avanti is sexy while the King Air looks like a 60's reject....... I like the way it looks. It doesn't look mainstream but that's okay. And, for the record, practically any car made by AMC pegs the ugly meter... Gregg Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. March 2, 201412 yr Wow! love the wheels on the yellow one, but doesn't it really need white walls as well? March 2, 201412 yr Interesting the Mu is on the plate too, another notoriously loud airplane. I suppose between the Mu and the Avanti, folks get noise abatement complaints even in FSX  Milviz just needs to do a Tupolev Bear too, then you'll really wake up the dead in FS lol. Turn down your speakers for this one, I wonder if Bear crews are deaf when they retire LOL "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley
March 2, 201412 yr The thing about the Avanti is that, in a sea of GA minnows, its nice to have a shark. Maybe MilViz should do a Beech Starship as well. I'd buy that.... Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
March 2, 201412 yr Author I guess I'm the only one who thinks the Avanti is sexy while the King Air looks like a 60's reject....... I agree with you Chris! It looks like its going 100 kias just sitting on the ramp.. And a Starship would be amazing too - I'd buy that in a heartbeat too... Tom
March 2, 201412 yr I agree with you Chris! It looks like its going 100 kias just sitting on the ramp.. And a Starship would be amazing too - I'd buy that in a heartbeat too... Hopefully MilViz would consider doing a Starship. Its an unusual plane, just like the Avanti. Only issue is all that glass although I'd be willing to accept it if they took some liberties with it and put the PL-21 in it . March 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member It's on the list... and we can't, just CAN'T do a PL-21 in a starship... wouldn't be right... March 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member I had a look at some pit shots though....The Proline-4 in that thing looks considerably more intimidating than it does in other birds. But programming glass is fun.... Jonathan "FRAG" Bleeker Formerly known here as "Narutokun" If I speak for my company without permission the boss will nail me down. March 2, 201412 yr Interesting the Mu is on the plate too, another notoriously loud airplane. As loud as that is, the Republic XF-84H is reputed to have been even louder and with the bonus of the prop blade tips going supersonic, which caused headaches, nausea and could even incapacitate ground personnel near the beast. I look forward to the Avanti and the Starship B) Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)

March 14, 201412 yr So this morning I'm leaving my house and saw King Air on approach to KOPF followed shortly thereafter by an Avanti. The Avanti just looked (and sounded) so much better. I can't wait for the Avanti to be released... B) Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
April 1, 201412 yr It's too bad the Starship just never caught on. Even today it looks ahead of its time. IMHO, one of the sexiest turboprops developed. Also, one of the original "glass" cockpits made by Rockwell-Collins with a basic FMS. And I have to agree - putting a Proline 21 system in the cockpit would be heresy. Don't get me wrong, I do love me some Proline, just not in the Starship. I linked a great website below for all you Starship lovers. http://rps3.com/Pages/Starship.htm Todd Regards, Todd Harrell Computer: i7 3770k @ 4.6 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 1070 GPU, 750W PSU, 250 GB SSD (Win 7), 500 GB SSD (P3D), 2 x 1TB HDD, 28-inch Viewsonic 1080p monitor Sim: P3Dv3
