Oops. I deleted PartMgr and rebooted. It won't load windows and asks if I want to repair it. Can't select repair, keyboard is not recognized. Is there a way to edit the registry without booting into windows?

USB keyboard - try plugging it into a USB2 port, Ric. Try each port. The USB 2 ports should work at boot time. Sorry my fault for suggesting the stupid afterthought. ..

I will try that and let you know, here is a prime example of what can happen when you don't back up.

 

Edit: I'm back! I took your advice and moved my keyboard connector (what a rookie mistake) and was able to restore to a point just a few days ago.

Yes, 30 minutes later, BAM!

 

I think I am going to go with a re-install first, just for the experience.

 

Eventually, a complete wipe. I have everything important backed up. I was just upset that I hadn't backed up all my .ini and .cfg files yet.

 

I am going to have read what all is involved in a wipe (don't expect anything) with an SSD.

 

I now have three 512 GB 840 Pro Series drives now, (bought another one today) I intend to install Win 7 on one, FSX on another and Addons on the third. What do you think?

 

I also have 2 HDD, one 1 TB and another 1.5 TB.

Well it was almost over. I now have a annoying intermittent stutter that I never had before. I'm going to prep for a complete OS to FSX reinstall.
