Have you tried downloading/installing  it  again with your avg disabled  etc  since its points  down to a corrupt  download or installation issue

If his download was corrupt, he wouldn't even be able to run the installer exe, or even extract the exe from the zip.

Since he's tried basically everything one can possibly do, my only guess is some kind of corrupt system file in his Windows install, especially since he says it worked before.

When I said it worked before I meant a very long while ago.But it did work. I thought of  re-downloading the file but I bought the  heavy hitters  package and it takes for ever to download it.

Would it be possible to download the separate  fsx2crew md11  part only ?

I checked the threads here on the forum and noticed quite a few people had the same  prob I'm having but no working solution was posted ?  :(

Hi,

You said it worked for you before, so it's not panel.cfg.

I've offered to help you via a Remote Desktop.

Without seeing it first hand via a remote desktop, there's not much more I can do.

Cheers,

I pinned it down to FS Captain. Now the new version of FS Captain does not touch the panel configs as far as I know, so it appears to be the fscaptain.DLL in the dll.xml causing fs2Crew to fail and crash FSX.

I need to do more digging, but if you have fs Captain, disable FSC in the dll.xml and the md11 should load without a crash. I think FS2Crew maybe an innocent victim here.

Thanks. Problem solved now. I disabled Fscaptain and now fs2crew works again !
