Takeoff and Landing Speeds

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to determine a rough takeoff/landing/stall speed for the aircraft in IF? When I'm bringing in the Cirrus, I have no idea what a good landing speed is.

You can look in the plane's aircraft.cfg for approximate stall speeds, flaps up or down and cruising and Vne. They are all listed in the section lableled

[Reference Speeds]

Easy peasy :)

Add 10% to flaps up stall speed for approach as a general rule. Or you can check the Reference tab of the Kneeboard (default F10), last tab down the right side.

Or you can google for Cirrus POH and find out correct way to operate the aircraft.

Too obvious! waaaay too obvious! I would never do that, it's too much like a trap...

Sorry, wierd sense of humor..you are absolutely correct, that is the correct way to do it, no question :)

Good day, all.

How much flap do you usually use during take-off and when do you place it back to 0? Thanks
