I actually feel like the FlyJSim 727 is better than the FF 777 - does anyone else?

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Just curious about the above. I have flown the 777 a fair bit now, and spent some hours this evening on the 727. Everything about the 727 shouts quality; the extremely accurate cockpit sounds (I've not been in a cockpit of a 727 but I have of other jetliners in flight, and you can't hear the flaps or gear from there - this is accurate in the 727 and not the 777).

The cockpit detailing is gorgeous, and it's just incredible to fly.

It also cost half the price of the 777. So impressed. Does anybody prefer the 777?

My jet routes are short range, so the FJS 727 is very nice for that.  The 777 is also highly automated as well.  FF virtual cockpit modelling while good is not as good as FJS. All in all I prefer the FJS727 and FF757.

I just bought the 757, so far it seems like the perfect middle ground. You have to fly it a lot more, and there are beautiful textures and depth to the cockpit.

Hopefully, Flight Factor updates the VC textures of their 777.  I know of a third party over at the ORG that is taking on the task, but I would rather see it done by Flight Factor.

Not only is he updating the textures, but also the model. I seriously doubt that FF will revisit updating the model. The third party guy seems to want to get it as close to real as possible visually.

Can you provide the thread? Thx

I can certainly say that the 727 is a lovely aircraft to hand-fly and as I don't have too much free time on my hands it's just perfect for a short 30-60 minute hop or even circuits and touch-and-goes. It's a tricky aircraft to set up for a manual approach but very rewarding when you get it just right.
