May 8, 201412 yr Careful using AFX if the files are made by ADE as AFX can delete things done by the ADE program due to the features available with Airport Design Editor... Its free and probably worth getting to replace AFX as many developers today use the ADE program when doing AFCADs
May 8, 201412 yr I was aware that AFCAD can do things to ADE NAVaids and so on, didn't know AFX did too. Surprising since it's payware - what are the conflicts? Whatever, I finally managed to get a helipad where it belongs. Strangely it will not work for flyables - they sink through to ground - but Flight1 AI helos manage OK. Good enough for now, then, it's AI I'm after. I thought AVSIM had an attachment function? as I would have uploaded the little bgl.
May 9, 201412 yr Author but Flight1 AI helos manage OK. I've recently come late to Heli Traffic 2009. What a blast! To date I've been establishing helipads on sceneries displaying the "H" but haven't actually activated a helipad within the AFCAD ... works fine as advertised. However can you modify existing sceneries using your AFCAD programs to place a helipad from scratch as in Wingz's screenie above? Also how does one manage to 'harden' landing areas on roofs for hospitals, hotels, casinos et al? BTW Flukey your AFCAD is much appreciated. KMCO now sings in comparison to stock.
May 9, 201412 yr Yes Heli Traffic is underrated... it has become a favourite for me, always a tweak to a new scenery to bring it in. Helping the frame rate a little is the fact that the UTT Sikorsky and EC120 AI packages work with it too! For rooftops, what I normally do (and it works everywhere else) is create a new airport, and insert a helipad. That's it! Not sure what I'm doing differently here, as it won't harden up for a flyable.
May 9, 201412 yr Author UTT Sikorsky and EC120 AI packages work with it too! Yes I purchased those (thanks to a comment by our friend Harald) and then noted they were compatible with Heli Traffic 2009 and, well, you know how it is. BTW I 'constructed' multiple heliports each at KJFK, KLGA, KEWR and several on rooftops in NYC (Aerosoft's Manhattan) with 100% AI and 400% helicopter AI and my little 'ol FS9 was still at 33fps locked at 33fps. The 4770K chip (running stock) sure copes well. Thanks for your explanation re hardening ... that remains a little out of my ken however.
May 24, 201412 yr Hey guys As per my screenshots above for those that have the Fsdreamteam JFK & KFLL plus Latinvfr KMIA V2.x see links below KFLL - https://www.dropbox.com/s/okn7h6w1sxcd3q2/AP_KFLL.BGL KJFK - https://www.dropbox.com/s/jov7jx8txgf00xc/AF2_KJFK.bgl KMIA - https://www.dropbox.com/s/ls0bqgc3ydc2yh9/KMIA_ADE9_RF.Bgl Remember to back up previous AF2 files (for KMIA File is KMIA_ADE9_RGM.bgl) Flukey
May 25, 201412 yr Author Thanks for your efforts Flukey. I'll give them a try shortly. With regard to requests ... I'm not seeing much volume of AI at Imaginesim's Shanghai (ZSPD). Another member also suggested the airport to be almost empty. I run MyTraffic and plenty of WOAI airlines so this relatively sparse traffic for such a major airport is a mystery to me. Could you have a look please?
May 25, 201412 yr Here's a shot i took from my sim for this airport very nice and very happy with it using my ENB Setup Feel free to like my Screen Shot Page (Cheers) https://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Flight-Simulator-2004-Screenshots/1448105718745013

June 2, 201412 yr Author Give this a shot Many thanks Flukey ... your afcad did make a difference though Pudong is still underpopulated when compared to others of comparable size/importance. Strange indeed. BTW I'm enjoying your mods to KMIA, KFLL and KJFK too. ^_^ Hope others in our little community will benefit also.
June 7, 201412 yr Many thanks Flukey ... your afcad did make a difference though Pudong is still underpopulated when compared to others of comparable size/importance. Strange indeed. BTW I'm enjoying your mods to KMIA, KFLL and KJFK too. ^_^ Hope others in our little community will benefit also. Not a problem mate.. Let me know if there are any others as Ive purchased a few airports over the years and have redone a few of those AFCADs to try and keep them as up to date as possible (even freeware if I have it)... For recent additions I updated TJSJ recently which is worth a look, http://forum.avsim.net/topic/442829-latinvfr-releases-san-juan-for-fs9/
January 24, 201610 yr Okay so in the Interim until I decide what I am going to do try this for KMCO.. Back up current AF2 file from your T2G Orlando scenery folder before adding this file just in case you do not like it. On top of my earlier post this will also include the Mountain air cargo C208s parking at the FedEx ramp. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rdky6ol893xd129/KMCO_AF.BGL File is made by ADE and came up with zero errors when I scanned.... Regards Flukey Hi All, long time no speak.. Would anyone happen to have this AFCAD lying around they can put to a dropbox link? Ive had a few requests for this file but deleted it and since the upgrade to my new PC I have not kept anything FS9.. Maybe add my other fs9 ADE files for KMIA, KFLL TJSJ and KJFK to that list if you can.. Any help for your fellow FS9ers would be appreciated.. Flukey
