how is that video you hinted at you would post of the radar working.........  coming along.

would be great to see a moving preview.

also one thing i am interested to know..does the image scan/sweep/ refresh left and right  visibly   back and forward as per real world. Is this mimicked for realism.? can anyone from the team or beta team confirm

tks

Fine.  There's better weather to go blasting through today, so I'm re-recording it and I might have it up soon.

Yes.

i have to admit i really wasn't expecting that level of realism regarding the radar sweep/ refresh.sounds pretty in-depth and accurate

Thank you captain for this addition, now it is the first completely simulated aircraft. Amazing job...

Wx radar which I haven't expected but RSR... Sir ( you know how to bring humor to the posts you do) I thought like something he is going to give like an update on that day.

Beta team, videos or screenshots please just like we saw during the b777 lr pre release.

I mean addressing the issues solved like how the new FBW works and new features added.

It is not too much to ask as it is now in beta ( b777 lr)

I hope 300 er comes into beta as well very soon.

Kyle as you mentioned in your previous post that you are showing a video to us. Thanks for your time in doing these vids dude.

Waitingggggggggggg.

Just did a test flight with the trial version of ASN and I will definitely buy it. Really impressive! B) Though using the same REX textures as before, I got the impression that the clouds and whole atmosphere is looking really totally different (and much better) than before. And for the first time I noticed a bit of turbulence on the 777 even though the wx conditions were actually not that bad. Winds and turbulence simulation also seems much more real now. I had never thought that ASN would take simulation somehow to a new level, but it really does! :good:

By the way, will the 777 SDK be released together with SP1? - I'm asking because of FS2Crew... can't wait to have my first officer in the right seat.

Did PMDG implement goat simulator 2014 into the 777

This is the most important question. All that WX, ACARS stuff is all very nice, but having that goat inside the aircraft during a long haul would really be the cherry on top :-)

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

1. ASN doesn't install to the FSX menus. 2. Accessing the FSX menus doesn't cause VAS to go up. There is a bugged uiautomationcore.dll file in Windows versions 7 and and higher that can cause crashes, but this is not related to VAS

Have uiautomationcore.dll installed, I like to access the de bug page of ASN from time to time. ASN is not perfect, and if there is a problem, and I need to access ASN to re set the weather, or a warning dialogue box comes up, I prefer that not to happen in full screen. I do know ASN is not in the fsx menu. I meant having to minimize fsx to access ASN.

Edit: Having read Kyle 's post that it works networked, it is sort of academic now.

Does this mean that we have to spend another US$50 to get the weather radar to work? As we will need to have ASN in order to get it to work?

yes

Hi,

Is there a kind of a cloud shadow on the radar?

On the prepar3d v 2.2 horizon, yes. Rob has some great videos of the 2.2 preview over the the P3D forum, I'd post a link but I'm on my phone for the time being.

If you're upgrading from AS2012 it's a $30 upgrade. I think ASE works for the upgrade price too but you'd have to check.

ASN does more than just provide a few radar returns on the T7 ND. So its price is fully justified, IMO.

Pls. note also, that a working wx radar hasn't been on the T7 feature list before, so PMDG hadn't promised it when you bought the T7. It's purely added value (like in "a freebie for ASN users").
