Another ILS Question

Recommended Posts

I apologize for this, but I've read countless posts and nothing seems to answer my terribly dumb question.

So, I've managed to get this thing down on a ILS landing twice now (KPIT to KEWR).

I know people are having trouble with the ILS holding its capture and need to make sure everything is still on.

My dumb question:  Since I know I have had this same problem, I don't know what I should be looking for when the ILS loses

the localizer. Does something flash, does the "GS" just go away? Like I said, I know its happened before, its just that

I get so flustered when I realize I'm terminally off course that I forget what happened up till then.

Thanks for attempting to decipher that rambling!  I appreciate your replies in advance.

I think this issue has been resolved (it's certainly not happened to me recently), but if it does occur the FMA (the top right of the PFD) will read WING LVL instead of G/S.
