What music do you listen to when you go flying?

Recommended Posts

Usually I don't but when I do (usually when doing some work while cruising) its usually Dire Straits or The Killers. With some others mixed in, Pink Floyd, some newer alternative stuff but mostly the first two

Most of the time I listen to Jazz or Blues, but this time of the year I'll tune into the baseball game... preferably the Rockies, but any one will do.

Nice to make a night flight listening to the game in the background, or some Thelonius Monk......

Sometimes listen to George Benson, Dire Straits, Eagles, America, Little River Band, so on and so forth. I'm into that type of jazz, rock and country stuff.

Thanks,

Kevin L

lol!!!

Take That is great choice over FTX EU England as well! ;-)

I'd prefer flying over FTX EU Ireland then while listening to U2!

(only kidding! Many of the best and most important bands in the history of Rock music come from the UK...)

Geez, I am so glad you did not ask what I wear when in the captains seat LOL.

Sorry, it just sounded like a bordering sort of question to me. Must be my age.

I listen to the engine, cockpit sounds and environment sounds mostly.

I love the roar of the engines so much that I don't bother to play any music.  The Q400 in particular makes a great ambient drone once you're at altitude and pull the props back to 850 RPM.

Me too, I love the sounds the engines make, and in GA I think using the throttle without looking at the RPM is great, just listening to the tone of the engine.

Messing with files and stuff I listen to Radio 3 on the BBC.

Old Russian music from the 70s-80s, not familiar with english genres or music. lives up the ambience on classic flights.
