A bit of advise on weather or not to upgrade?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Looking for a bit of advice here from people that may have already gone ahead and done this.

I currently have rex essential + overdrive installed for fsx and I've recently just purchased p3dv2 but I'm currently using the stock textures for weather etc apart from my ftx products.

I was wondering if it was worth buying the rex 4direct textures package for fsx/p3d or to pay $4.99 to unlock my current rex textures and use them in p3d.Can anybody offer any thoughts on this, are these new textures worth the extra cash to buy or not

thanks for any advice you can give

I think there's some discounts running on rex4 now so I'm sure you can find it at reduce prices. It probably would be best to upgrade to rex4 but you don't have to, especially if your plan is to use another program for weather. If you can choose directx textures in your current Rex and are happy with the cloud textures it offers, then that's a good base.

The thing with rex4 is that it offers allot of choices in cloud themes but selecting the theme is a manual process..... Which ultimately should be automatic based on real world matching. Until that's possible, it's just a theme based texture library with more to choose from.

Let's see what Rex weather direct brings....

REX4 is worth the money and I use it together with ASN even with REX OD on my PC.
