Getting to know KMCO

Recommended Posts

Had a little time to spend with this very nice airport scenery from Taxi2gate.

First the aerial survey

Ticks the box, these days I do prefer an airport that is interesting. This one is definitely interesting.

Then, time to check out the vegetation: tick

Time to check the facilities: yep you do need the right credentials

...which we do have, and it seems, quite a few others also do.

There's plenty of airliner activity. Having 4 runways means there's often a drag race off a pair of them, and some other action on the expansive property.

As mentioned in an earlier thread, there are some issues with parking radii.

I've asked T2G for a fix, as well as a hardened rooftop heliport.

A very thoroughly modelled airport, well done to T2G.

When AES comes, I will be spending some quality time here.

Very nice shots! I also have Taxi2Gate's KMCO and enjoy it very much. Those shots are from FS9? They look way better than a lot of other FS9 shots I've seen. Besides T2G KMCO what other addon's do you run to make your game look like that?

Thanks, I3... my erm, SIM :)  is a 10-year agglomeration of bits but rests mainly on:

GE Pro

Active Sky (with freeware HD clouds)

Zinertek water

SweetFX

And of course, wall-to-wall AI !

Lol yes, my mistake. Sim. I've been away from home for too long and haven't had the chance to do anything fun.

Well the screenshots look awesome. I might have to dust of my copy of FS9 and install some of those.

It's a move you will not regret...

Back to the scenery: great to see another player upping the ante and creating a really top-class scenery like this one, for FS9.

Let's see how the support side goes... I have raised issues about the AFCAD, most notably there are taxiways that don't correspond with the ground poly.

This makes AI meander off on the shoulders and I find this quite distracting.

With a little attention however, this can be easily fixed.

WingZ,

Could not agree more. This scenery is done brilliantly. As is their KSTL. We have both in our 220 degree visual simulator and when you pull onto these runways they look incredibly real. Great company and proud to support them. I also am a fan of LatinVFR sceneries as well although their support needs a little fixing. :)
