May 2, 201412 yr I have just had the most wonderful experience with the support of RealAir. Emailed them at 11:11am today and got a response at 11:22am. Problem resolved and can now reinstall. Love the aircraft, love the support and cannot wait for what they produce next. Regards Pete
May 2, 201412 yr It is not a question of "not being bothered" as one poster on this thread rudely stated! Pardon my rudeness, but untill you're onboard there really isn't an excellent aircraft to fly in P3D. Quality comes at a cost I'm sure, but I will not apologize for being impatient and a huge fan of your products . Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
August 7, 201411 yr I can live with the sound problems, but no matter what I try, the left main wheel will not come back down once the gear has been retracted. Has anyone else had this problem? Ron Anyone have the left main gear coming down? Not Me. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
August 7, 201411 yr Shame that Realair can't be bothered to make a P3D v2 installer. I'd pay them an upgrade fee for the effort. Got all their aircraft, but all are parked since I don't use FS2004 and FSX anymore. I am guessing that they need to set up a new pricing and installation system, similar to what A2A did when the Cherokee was released. Aaron Thacker
August 7, 201411 yr Commercial Member Anyone have the left main gear coming down? Not Me. Regards, Ray With crash detection and damages enabled the left gear can mess around because of a mistake in the aircraft.cfg. With damage eneabled the left gear picks up a failure if the airspeed rises above two knots. In any case other items like the sound selection are wrong with or without damages enabled. Fortunately the fix is very easy: Open the v2 aircraft.cfg in notepad and fix the contact point as follows: [contact_points] change point.1 =1, -8.04, -5.40, -3.94, 6000, 1, 1.00, 0, 0.30, 2.50, 0.36, 3.1, 3,1, 2, 152, 200 to point.1 =1, -8.04, -5.40, -3.94, 6000, 1, 1.00, 0, 0.30, 2.50, 0.36, 3.1, 3.1, 2, 152, 200 notice the period rather than comma at item 14 (1st is zero), should be "3.1", and not "3,1", the comma increases the item count and confuses the failure speeds and sounds. The comma is reintroduced if the V2 control panel is used to change suspension settings. In that case the comma should be edited back to a period '.' decimal point. August 8, 201411 yr There is no gear extension problem at all if you read the manual! Page 14 I think. PLEASE TURN CRASH DETECT OFF. It serves no useful purpose in FSX and all it does is "close" the flight if FSX so much as apparently detects the slightest "collision" with anything, including ghost bits of scenery you can't even see. Crash detect off enables our hard suspension to work on tarmac, which encourages bouncing if you do not perform a smooth landing. Or you can opt for softer grass suspension which stops the usual FSX bouncing all over the place on turf., We did hope this would be regarded as a decent innovation. Crash detect off also allows you to "practice" gear up landings, or put better, when you forget to select gear down. It also enables even our sea/lake landing mode where you can do a gear up water ditch. None of these things are possible with crash detect on. August 8, 201411 yr Hi Works lovelyfor me in v2.2 but for one problem, As soon as a lower the undercarriage one wheel left side will not come down, happens evey time After landing well crashing the wheels are perfect once I stop Any ideas Mhazy
August 8, 201411 yr I agree, Robert. Crash detection in FSX is pointless, and I am guessing that it is exactly the same in P3D. I intend to purchase P3D version 2.3 when it is released, and the Duke v2 will feature prominently in my flight schedules  Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
August 8, 201411 yr I recently purchased the RA Duke V2 for P3S2, installed with the latest version of the EMT, and everything works perfectly now (switch sounds, etc. all work fine). I had the left landing gear problem at first, but when I set the settings exactly as in the manual, the problem disappeared. My first RA aeroplane, and I am impressed! August 8, 201411 yr Commercial Member Thanks Steve, I have no idea how you discovered this fix but it does indeed cure the gear extension problem. Duke it looking better all the time. Regards, Ray Thanks Ray, you're welcome. I said 14th item but actually meant it's the 12'th item counting from zero. Don't forget with or without damage enabled, this fix also cures the missing left gear sounds problem, and so the left gear sound is heard properly. The landing gear certainly sounds better in stereo. All the best. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
