April 24, 201412 yr Hi there, I would love to get rid of the reflections in the VC of the FT Phenom. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Thank you in advance for any help. May 11, 201412 yr Author Tell me how Sorry to take so long to answer. The easiest way to fix the reflections isssue is to open the Feelthere Phenom texture folder and delete the file named [reflection_cockpit.dds]. Then make a copy of the file named [XGlass.dds] and rename that copy to [reflection_cockpit.dds]. So essentially you are replacing the reflection file with a copy of the XGlass file. Hope that helps. May 12, 201412 yr It is easy to use DtxBmp and a graphics program to tone down the relections to a more natural level. Just using the XGlass texture gets rid of them completly which is ok if that's what you want but having some reflections is nicer.
May 13, 201412 yr Hi there, I would like to remove the reflections in the FS9 version. Any idea how to do that. In the texture folders there is cockpit_reflection.bmp. Do I just remove that ?? rgds, John FS9 Driver
May 13, 201412 yr If you remove it then yes, the reflections will be gone but you will then have no glass in the windows. Much better to edit the texture to lessen the reflections but still have some slight reflections to simulate glass. Easy enough to do using the right tools.

The reflections do indeed disappear when you remove the reflections.bmp file. On another point I run the Phenom at 30fps but it does drop to 18-19 every few seconds which does cause a slight stutter in the sim. Any idea what causes that and how to fix it?? Rgds, John FS9 Driver
