26APR14 - SP1/300ER Update "What Could Possibly Take So Long?!"

Featured Replies

Hi Robert and mates,

I sincerely applaud your decision to take all the needed time to release the SP1 for T7, that's why PMDG stands out of almost the rest of developers. I think that both the serious flight simmer and those of us like me who wore those "four" on our shoulders on our past and of course those active pals we ALL enjoy the perfection with which you have build those planes.

I call that "the three ps" Patience-Passion-Perfection, that's what PMDG team means for me, that's why all retired like me are still alive (walking my dog and loving my Granddaughter, daughter, son and wife, the passions of my life now)

With all that said, thanks for your patience for reading what I lovely feel about this.

Your friend,

Artur Washton.

Understood. Thanks for this follow up, I felt really bad .
And Kyle I always enjoy your input and videos. Keep them coming.

Thanks for watching them, and the feedback!  I'll have you know that I drove the whole way to the aforementioned bar feeling a little bad for the 'ignorant' comment, but that was the only word I could drag up to succinctly say "intentionally ignoring the licensing issues at hand," which is what a lot of the sim hobby does.  Part of that is no fault of your own, honestly.  A bunch of people are spreading false information about the licensing issues, and people - mostly because, as you said, FSX is dying - are dying to latch onto a new, worthy replacement.  Unfortunately, the word is also used to mean simply "dumb," which isn't how I meant it - sorry about that.

I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.

Thanks for the update - and for implementing simple micro-updates. Sounds promising.

Oh no you don't.

I didn't say it was simple!  Not even close!  It is actually a highly complex process when you get right down to the brass tacks- and we have to make sure it is done correctly....

It can be described in many many ways... but NOT "simple!"

I think he meant 'simple' for the user.

Just the thought of returning to Phoenix... *shudders*...so many repressed memories.  haha.  Actually, I could be up for a visit again.  Haven't been back there in a while.

...but that's what I get for posting on the weekends, where I'm not subconsciously taking out work anger on unsuspecting forum members.

Want a lackie to work on aviation contracting???  :P

Haha Kyle enjoy the fun! You can take it! ;-) (Said with the voice of that dude from Adam Sandler's movies "you can do iit!" ;-))

Well, yeah, we are holding up the process by 'bug detecting' and giving the Dev & Tech team guys support so that it's everything it can be once released. Which is the whole point of beta testing

Kyle has become . really boring since .. he .... started ....... to ................ play ...................... nice!

(Falls asleep until release of SP1.)

What happened to AVSIM

I have recoded his positronic matrix.

It took some doing, but success was finally at hand.

I'll tweak it a tad to add more humour. When I added the anti-sarcasm algorithm, I may have broken the humour code.

Robert,it is very nice to hear from you, thanks for your extraordinary patience with us ! saim

ALPER S.

No one has mentioned the SDK but those of us awaiting FS2Crew for the T7 are hoping for a release soon. Will it be out at the same time as SP1?

Iain Smith

Can't find this mentioned anywhere else; will SP1 affect the files that store airframe accumulated hours? I'd prefer to keep my 777 used rather than go back to a factory fresh delivered one.

I assume I can do this just by backing up the .hours file and copy/pasting right?

Cheers
