May 3, 201412 yr Went to the Flylogic website and it doesn't look like most are for sale anymore?! Hi, I have just bought Flylogic Sion directly from their site. I had and still have to do a lot of work (doing a flatten entry, remove static planes, rework afcad to have some F5 fighters where they belong). But it's better than what I had. No way to get the CR stuff? Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.

May 5, 201412 yr I have sent them a mail, hopefully the company is still active somehow. However, I brought Flylogic Sion to work. No more AI aircrafts hanging in the air and having a bump between apron and runway. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
May 5, 201412 yr Author I have sent them a mail, hopefully the company is still active somehow. However, I brought Flylogic Sion to work. No more AI aircrafts hanging in the air and having a bump between apron and runway. Nice! Any way I could have your corrections?
May 5, 201412 yr Of course. However, I give no guarantee that this works for every FS2004 setup; it may regard on mesh or other scenery add-ons. Take the following three steps: 1. Find and deactivate the file "LSGS_rwyLGT.bgl" in Sion's scenery folder, for instance by renaming it "LSGS_rwyLGT.bak". 2. Open the file "AF2_LSGS.bgl" via Afcad2 or ADE and change the airport height from 1581.0 to 1583.0 ft. (In Afcad2, you have to change both the airport height and the height of the runway) 3. Open the "scenery.cfg" and find the entry for Sion (not the landclass, but the airport scenery). In an new row below this entry, insert the following: Flatten.0=1583,N46 13.03,E7 18.59,N46 13.49,E7 20.75,N46 13.28,E7 20.84,N46 12.82,E7 18.70 Now it should work without AI planes hanging in the air. If you want to have military parking, use this afcad file (already with corrected height, a very basic workaround): https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2edbzomdpz01an/AF2_LSGS.bgl Good luck! A short feedback would be appreciated. Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
May 6, 201412 yr Author It worked for me, with just Switzerland Pro installed in the area. Thank you!
May 7, 201412 yr You're welcome, thanks for your feedback. Harald Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
May 11, 201412 yr Hi, very good news: You can still purchase the former CR-Software sceneries Lugano and Locarno-Magadino directly from Andreas Hegi, their developer. If you are interested, write me a PM for contact. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
May 13, 201412 yr Author The mysteries of ZFT2 in Switzerland! This was part of the original flght plan, but the shots I took got lost somehow. I flew back out there. Off the coast of Stresa, headed towards the seaplane landing area. I turned the Vibrancy of SweetFX to full, because I'm not fully interested in photorealism - more like bright, colorful, vibrant adventuring. Those islands up ahead are the things I seek in my flights. What are they?! For centuries Stresa has been a popular retreat for Europe's aristocrats, who have endowed the town with a number of villas. Tourism increased substantially after tunneling of the Simplon Pass allowed train services from north of the Alps to pass through Stresa in 1906. In 1948 American author and journalist, Ernest Hemingway visited the town. Okay, so ... Stresa ... but look at this island! Gardens, and fancy looking buildings. Wikipedia: The Borromean Islands (It. Isole Borromee) are a group of three small islands and two islets in the Italian part of Lago Maggiore, located in the western arm of the lake, between Verbania to the north and Stresa to the south. Together totalling just 50 acres (20 hectares) in area, they are a major local tourist attraction for their picturesque setting. This first one is Isola Bella, named for Isabella, countess Borromeo, was originally a largely barren rock; after first improvements and buildings, opened by count Carlo III between 1629 and 1652, his son Vitaliano the 6th built an attractive summer palace, bringing in vast quantities of soil in order to build up a system of ten terraces for the garden. The unfinished building displays paintings by Lombard artists and Flemish tapestries. Real life photo can be seen here. The next one is Isola Madre, the largest of the three, is also noted for its gardens, which are maintained from about 1823 in an English style. Its palace, though uninhabited, is splendidly furnished with 16th- to 19th-century Italian masterpieces and paintings. Real life photo can be seen here. And this third one I wasn't able to properly identify. Hovercraft ferrying tourists around to the various islands!
