Generous use of the right rudder trim is required. 12 for take off, 8 for the climb and three or four in the cruise are approx. numbers I use.

Do you know why?
Is it cause of Prop torque draging to one side? Or is it something else?

Yes, it's the big fans attached the wings causing it. I'll let those with a greater understanding of aerodynamics than me argue about the details.

2 engines.
Both spin in the same direction.

The more power, the more the effect.

The faster you are going, the more effect the rudder has.

So Takeoff = Going slow with lots of power.

Climb = going faster with lots of power

Cruise = going even faster with lots of power

Descent = going about the same speed as cruise, but with very little power.

Here's a thread (by real pilots, not simulator geeks) which may provide more illumination.

or i found a solution. go to mjcq400 folder in simobjects, open the "ini" folder and in the controls and joystick notepads change the yaw from1.0 to 0.0

Pity they can't do that with the real aircraft lol.

I found a solution - it looks like an Antonov AN-148 :P

The FDE of the MJC D8 is spot on according to RW D8 pilots.

There's no point changing the FDE to make it easier to fly.......I mean, what's the point.

If you want to get max enjoyment out of this aircraft, change your FDE back to what it should be and learn to fly it the way it SHOULD be flown.

Enjoy.

Have you tried adjusting the P-factor in fsx settings? Worth a shot.

From the Majestic FAQ:

The Aircraft banks to the left

This is normal for a turboprop aircraft and is due to propwash hitting the tail fin. Use the rudder pedals to compensate for this effect on takeoff and landing, and the rudder trim in the other phases of flight. Please note that this effect diminishes as the airspeed increases. Refer to slip skid indicator on the PFD (two-section triangle at the top of the attitude ball) - try to align both sections.

From http://forum.avsim.net/topic/407132-majestic-software-dash-8-question/:

Hi, Barra - a quick and easy way ( since you don't have rudder pedals) to stop this yawing to the left (by the way.....that is a very natural propwash effect in this aircraft - just like the real one!)  Nice one, Majestic!!!

What to do - go into the Aircraft's directory - I think it's called mjc8q400. Now go into the directory called ini.

Find the line that says - YAW_DUE_TO_PROPWASH = 1.

Change the 1 to a Zero.....save the file......"Problem" solved.

I have been flying simulators since around 1999.

I had never used Rudder Trim in any simulator... till I purchased this aircraft addon.

Day after purchase, I was assigning rudder trim buttons! Rudder trim is something heavily used on the Q400 (real and now sim one).

It makes the Q400 that much more 'hands on' compared to the other aircraft.
