RAAS in PMDG777 not working

Recommended Posts

Hi, trying to understand why RAAS in PMDG777 not working.

I only have the RAAS that came with PMDG777.

there is a RAASPro folder in my FSX program folder that presumably was installed with the PMDG777 and inside these folders is a dll.xml file which seems to contain code to load a RAAS module. My fsx.cfg file contains no reference to RAAS - only to the 777 as follows:

"

F:\fsx\GAUGES\PMDG_777X.DLL.clkoanwecheuccchbtaankcweoczielozorzqoot=2
F:\fsx\GAUGES\PMDG_777X_3.DLL.lbniobqietubhczkqioocklquolkanbbblruqeqr=2

"

some ideas:

1). is it necessary to run the makerunways utility after installing PMDG777 ?

2). I don't have a dll.xml file in my FSX user folder - do i need this ?

everything else in PMDG777 works just fine!

1. Yes, you need to run Make Runways.

2. You're not looking in the right place for the DLL.XML.  It's in your AppData folder.

Please do a Google search on how to locate the DLL.XML.

Also, please read this:

http://www.support.fs2crew.com/help/manuals/#pageid=help_and_trouble_shooting

3. Ensure your Airline livery has RAAS enabled in the PMDG options menu.  Not all airlines use RAAS.

when I said "I don't have a dll.xml file in my FSX user folder" I did mean my AppData folder under \users\... in Windows

You're probably not looking in the right place.

Please google "FSX DLL.XML LOCATION" for detailed info on how to find it.

Hi Ari,

Please install the free version of FSUIPC from:

http://schiratti.com/dowson.html

Is a DLL.XML created after you install that?

If so, just manually add the RAAS entries to it.

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>RAASPRO</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>.\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>

solved.  the dll.xml was in another user's folder because FSX was installed under a different user, and run under another Windows username.

Have reinstalled everythign again as a single user and works fine.
