I was searching around the internet today and I stumbeld on this lovely page over in the PMDG Store.

they did this with the 777-200lr also before launch - kind of a joke

It's not a joke... it's so they can add it to the eCommerce in preparation (it's been there for months like the LR was before release). The system doesn't let you hide new products. So they have to stick it at a high price so no one will buy. Plus to distribute it to the testing teams...

Not true! If you bought the base pack on the first day you get $25,000,000 off the sticker price.
