Will be installing P3D soon...but a question, please!

Recommended Posts

I know that I can install all my OBRX purchases for FSX by re-downloading my software with the triple install...fine but:

1. How do you install ASN for use in P3D 2.2 so it will also not screw up your ASN for FSX

2. Same question, but with REX 4 Direct to install or have it see P3D v2.2

Thanks for any help...I don't want to screw this up....and have absolutely no experience with any version of P3D to date.

The ASN for P3D Beta installs into its own directory so no issues with the FSX version. just go to Hifisim and download the latest beta, your FSX licence is valid for the P3D version as well.

Some advice, just play around with a vanilla P3D first until you have it running to your satisfaction, then install your addons one at a time, testing well before moving onto the next one, not everything plays nicely just yet.

Buy the Estonia migrator as it will make your life much easier.

ASN: Just download the P3D version from the HiFi homepage, it will activate with the key you got for the FSX version and it won't interfere with the FSX version at all.

REX4: You simply have to choose the sim version in its GUI. The install paths have to be set manually and after that you are good to go.

REX4 is able to distinguish between FSX, P3D v1.x and P3D v2.x, so just make sure you select the correct options for textures (DX9, DX10, DX11) before installing and you should be good to go.

A small amount of users have reported issues with simconnect. Other than that, as stated above you should be good to go.
