Taxiway charts not matching P3D airports

Featured Replies

On several airports already I noticed that the numbering of taxiways do not match the numbering of taxiways on the charts I've got. Although it aren't the most recent ones, the charts I'm using are from the Navigraph database, so I think I can say it's not some crappy replica some idiot came up with to post on some obscure website. :P

Can it be I need another database update for P3D which matches the database from the charts, like the monthly updates for airways/SIDs/STARS, etc? Or could there be another problem causing these issues?

Cheers!

You need to download a custom AFCAD file for the airport you are visiting. AFCADs can be found in the AVSIM library.

I was able to find just one file for FSX, not sure it this is going to work for P3D...

Been googling for AFCADs, but didn't find very much, just a few files for specific addon airports.

Is there any database with files for the original P3D airports?

Cheers!

Maarten

To the best of my knowledge, Prepar3D airports are the same as FSX. that means they are well out-of-date by now. I also understand that Lockheed Martin does not intend to update them. Anyone who needs them will be able to acquire them elsewhere.

Did you try searching the AVSIM library?

Make sure you're searching in the Prepar3d section, and then the AFCADs subsection. Then just type in the airport's ICAO and you're golden.

Thanks Aamir, by general search I indeed got to the wrong section of the library, I found where to go now. Too bad that the airports I wanted to fix aren't in the database, but I know where to look now if I find others.

Cheers!
