No autopilot when pfc failed to sec

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

according to some forum tips I tried to fail the pfc into secondary mode inside the failure menu. Unfortunately I get the "no autoland" EICAS warning and more important I am unable to enable the autopilot. It disconnects within 1second after enabling. The aircraft is trimmed out of course.

Is it normal or am I doing something wrong? Because other's are using secondary mode I think the failure is on my side.

That is correct, Autopilot is available only with PFC in NORMAL mode. If PFC fail to secondary or direct mode, Autopilot is not available and of course if autopilot is not available, autoland is not possible.
