Question for the experts: What are these yellow lines on the artificial horizon?

Recommended Posts

Could somebody please tell me what these yellow lines mean on the artificial horizon?

Many thanks! If you got a page in the manual, I will check it out :)

According to an FCOM that I have, it is called the Pitch Limit Indication. "Indicates pitch limit (stick shaker activation point for existing flight conditions). Displayed when flaps are not up."

BTW there is a free 747-400 FCOM available here. If you download it, the information that I cited above is on page 10.10.5.

Thank you Stuart for your answer, now I know what it's called and can look it up in the FCOM. :)
