I've recently repainted an Extra 300 aircraft into RAF Colours on FSX, but when I click on the plane to load it, FSX crashes, any idea why it does this? Every other aircraft works fine, renamed the repaint, done all that I need too, just doesn't seem to work! It also happens if I click details when selecting the aircraft. I did import the old alpha-channel too. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!

What format did you save the textures as?

I used the DXTBmp Texture Tool program. Edited in photoshop, then saved the the texture folder as the DXT5 DDS file!

Show us the aircraft.cfg entry for it. Possibly something amiss there.

Show us the aircraft.cfg entry for it. Possibly something amiss there.

This is the entry. The folder is also named texture.DDAY, and is the correct entry number.

It is called texture.DDAY, is there anything I need to change about that?

EDIT: what's the .air file?

The .air file is in the main Extra 300 folder. My guess is it's called Extra300S.air. In your aircraft.cfg change the line I have made in bloody great black letters to Extra300S (or whatever the .air file is called.)

At a guess I'd say the second line in should read: sim=Extra300S

I don't think I can make it any clearer.

Well first of all exams are more important than FSX. But when you do try Ron's suggestions and they work. Don't forget to thank him.  :im Not Worthy:

So best of success  with your exams.. :p0304:
