But ex-Aces members do have a lot of experience with the franchise which would go against this part of the news:

"We can also tell you that the licensee is not one that we would have thought to have been a logical candidate in terms of direct knowledge of the product"

JV from ORBX bought it. You cant run it without FTX global installed..

This sounds like a "controlled leak".  Regardless, I will be glad to see some action, and I hope a 64 bit version.

Jokes aside it would not be a bad thing if he did buy it as we know we would get something good out of the box.

Who ever brought it and if you ever read this thread, please listen to the addon developers because with out them all you will have is another Flight on your hands.

Great to see Phil back in the forums...............! :) Listen people do a little thinking for min.... If I had to bet on who it would be.... I can say they, or should I say the person has their very own forum on AVSIM....! I will keep my fingers crossed on who I might think and hope it is...

I still want the coffee bread recipe or at least a sample........!  I will pay for the shipping and ingredients....

"I heard a rumour that it was __________ ."

"Is that true?"

"Oh yes."

"So it is true!"

"Is it?"

"You said it was."

"No I didn't."

"Yes you did. You said you'd heard a rumour, I asked if it was true and you said yes."

"I said it was true that it was a rumour..."

(With apologies to "Yes Minister".)

I'm assuming that this purchase is simply all about the name, that is someone can now develop a title called Flight Simulator and that is all. I don't think we will see any movement on this for a while until it is announced because a development of this magnitude takes many years. The old FS code may get recycled and improved but then surely that is what LM are doing anyway?

On the other hand if they're making an announcement at e3 I'd expect something a bit meatier than simply 'we've bought the brand and will do something with it shortly'.

Amazon CEO needs software to teach joe six pack to fly drones to pickup pizza or booze. Lockheed builds next flight sim with uncle sam funding with taxpayer dollars with Amazon selling it as public good with entrainment version.

Ok jeez,  I should have stayed quiet :/ No offence mate but people need to read posts carefully.  I never mentioned an airline pilot, I mentioned someone who runs an Airline (more accurately airline charter).

And I am not based in Europe.  I am in Europe, Middle East & Asia, for the last few months and next few weeks I am in the Middle East. I guess if I was ever to say I was based anywhere it would be Bahrain or Dubai

Guy's, info will be released soon and we will all be enlightened

Cheers

Perhaps you don't get this enough, but I for one appreciate your contribution to this thread. Cheers for the info!
