GTN750/650 for Carenado panels?

Featured Replies

I would love to see RealAir or A2A make a C182 with GTN integration. Off topic, back to Carenado.....

Funny you should mention that - the Carenado C182Q is one of the few airplanes that I can fit a GTN750 into..

OK Gang, get ready for the next level. Within a week or so you will see the Alabeo Saratoga II with the GTN750 option for the VC - the first new add on for FSX/P3D to offer the F1 GTN panel mod.

On another note, A2A has announced their next GA is the C182T with full F1GTN support in the VC. I expect this one sometime in December, no later than Christmas.

Carenado is now testing and working with adding F1GTNs to new Carenado models. I am guessing we will see a few retrofits or updates for a few of the more popular and later releases from Carenado. I would not be surprised to see the PC-12 updated for support of the GTN750/650 one day soon.

Just guessing, I probably know less about this than you.

Just a heads up.... Carenado has at least a couple of aircraft that come with the flight1 GTN 650/750 instruments installer...

FSX Steam and PD3 V3 compatible.

The Flight 1 GTN Avionics must be bought separately but will work nicely with Carenado as well as other aircraft....

Here is a list of Carenado aircraft that support the GTN 750 out of the box without having to mod the panel (no Carenado aircraft that I'm aware of supports the 650):

500S SHRIKE AERO COMMANDER HD SERIES
PA31 CHIEFTAIN 350
PA23 AZTEC F 250
F406 CARAVAN II HD SERIES
PA31 NAVAJO HD SERIES
C404 TITAN
PA32 SARATOGA II TC

I for one am hoping Carenado retro's the GTN series to their T210.  I'm using it for RW (but of course not logable) instrument currency and procedures practice.  Getting out of the RW aircraft (182 RG actually) with a GTN and going back to a 430 is kind of a bummer.

That said, the T210 with REP is the best I've found in the Cessna realm for the purpose....well done!

The Carenado 182Q actually can be fitted with a GTN750 (with a little bit of panel editing..)

So here's where my newbieness shows.  Can it be done by a mere mortal?....does it matter if I'm running it on X-Plane in Linux?  Thanks, Bert!

The Flight1 GTNs are for FSX and P3D only. And Windows.

So no on both counts.

Which is why it's nice to have multiple flight sims....thanks!

for any of you that have modified the panel to include the GTN 750, what did you do to do it? im a super noob in this area and would like to be able to put my 750 in a few Carenado planes that dont seem to be on the list.

That is not really possible.. except for some custom mods... see here for examples:
