Unfortunatly, that's not true anymore.I've worked in the video games industry for around ten years now as a 3DArtist/Animator for a company on your list.The current tread is very anti PC. The suits, in their wisdom, only care about consoles titles that can achieve multi million sales.However, there WILL be a future Flightsimulator version ;)

Perhaps the recent rebate helped out? Also, most shops have dropped the price to a very friendly level (20 USD or so). I picked up my copy recently for a net expenditure of 5 USD (25 - rebate). Quite a good bargain, I think, as the improved weather alone is worth the full price of FS 2004. All the other small details are just extra icing on the cake (telephone poles, better integration of roads in the terrain, nice water effects, improved planes, historical flights, interesting info etc. etc.). To get that all for 5 bucks is just ridiculous.
