Carenado PA 46.....how do I get autopilot to function?

Recommended Posts

I've tried everything....including the manual (shift2).  I can't seem to get the autopilot working.  Can't set altitude, or anything else.  What's the secret?

OK....no responses on this so far.  I read (by Googling) that you have to click on the Flight Director button. The Z key does not work with the PA 46.  However, I cannot locate the FD button.  If anyone knows where it is on the VC, please let me know.

If you're talking about the 350P it's between the AI and the altimeter.  Three position switch...middle is FD...up is AP.  I made a LINDA module for it if you have some hardware switches.

Hi Stan,

The FD button on the PA 46 is to the left of the standby alt.  Works just as Gregg stated.

I am confused at how to set heading or nav mode. I have the RXP 530 and 430 set to GPS but the announciator panel only says YD enabled. Even changing the alt or vs gives me nothing. The airplane just drifts on its own.

Is there any way to get the GoFlight MCP Pro CRS knob to operate on the PA46 GArmin 1000 PFD? I see the HDG works but CRS doesn't. Can that be done with our friend LINDA?

I think you must be asking about the PA46T.  It has G500s (I think).  The support forum is here...

Does Goflight work with LINDA?
