Egyptian 737 cover up ??

Recommended Posts

Hi,For the sake of proper information, here is the latest FAA AD on the 737 rudder PCU.http://www1.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_...17?OpenDocumentAs per the AD, operators have until November 12/2008 to install the new rudder PCU's. This would mean that the majority of 737-200 to -500 series are still flying with the suspect rudder PCU system. As for the flight manual, the AD is:http://www1.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_...E5?OpenDocumentRegarding the Egyptian investigation. It's a bit early to jump to un-informed conclusions. Let the investigation finish and then bring forth the conspiracy theorists :-roll .Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 Mechanic

The latest issue of AWST has page-long article on this investigation. They say "Egyptian authorities are slow in doling out information ..".Also "French authorities are believed to be insisting on more transparency"."Concerns about a potential negative effect on Egypt's tourism trade may be behind the reluctance to release information".Michael J.
