Don't know about the US but here in Finland we tend to keep politics away from science as much as possible. No wonder why our education system constantly ranks miles ahead one in the US in PISA studies. 

Only a small minority of scientists think climate change doesn't exist or that human activity plays no part in it.

I want to respond to this but better not. In fact I'm not going to respond to anything else as it is obviously political and we try to stay away from political subjects as both sides know that they are definitely right and everyone else who opposes their view are not very intelligent. It's just that the topic hit a nerve here and, at 69, it's a subject that disturbs me profusely. I'm afraid we are going to have to close this topic before it gets any further out of hand. I think both sides have had their say.
