June 21, 201411 yr I wonder how this compares to RAM heatsinks that are made to be efficient rather than just visually appealing to kids. Rolf Lindbom

June 21, 201411 yr Author Yeah, that's about as useless and silly as 'disco dancing LED lights inside the bloody case... :Silly: It depends on how you feel about your computer. For instance, I thought about and planned the wiring in mine meticulously, and if you open the case it looks like origami. I even brought a good power supply with racing stripes that matched the overall color scheme....... Which means the look of the ram was important as well. We are all connected..... June 22, 201411 yr Author Oh I see now. As long as the computer looks like a souped up hot-rod, it must be fast too! No..... More like why would you have a souped up hot rod (that cost you a mint) that looked like a Volkswagen Beetle circa 1968? This is a very old picture and many parts have changed, but you get the idea. June 22, 201411 yr Moderator Devon, having had the side off my main development machine yesterday to replace a failing F: drive, I note that my cabling and so forth looks to be very neat as well. One of the things I most like about the case I have though is that the hard drives are slotted sideways, meaning I only have to remove the cover, press two rail clips and slide the drive out. To me that means a lot more than blinking lights... :LMAO: Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
