Advice on new PC

As my PC (a 5 year old ATI/AMD system) is slowly giving up, I am looking to buy a new one. Important consideration is that I will not be overclocking the CPU nor the GPU, mainly because the temperature in the room can rise very quickly all year round (big windows on the south will do that, and moving the pc is no option).

 

So far I came up with this:

 

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4770

Cooler: Scythe Mugen 4 PCGH

Memory: Crucial 8 GB DDR3-1600 Kit CL9

MB: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming

GPU: MSI N780 TF 3GD5/OC

power supply: Corsair AX760i

Case: Cooler Master CM 690 III

DVD-drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE

SSD: 2x Crucial M500 Serie CT240M500SSD1, 240 GB (1 for Windows, 1 for FSX)

HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14, 2 TB (music, documents, photos)

 

Any advice?

I7 4790K instead (4GHz + turbo is like some sort of factory overclock, but nothing that Mugen 4 can't handle)

A Z97 motherboard to go with it

2400MHz RAM if you can find it at a reasonable price

Do yourself a favor get a z97 motherboard(z87 boards are a dead end but z97 will support the next genration of intel cpu's ) also get the 4790k. If you get a good closed loop liquid cooler like a h110 your overclocked temps with fine you can safely hit 80c on Intel chips so with that cooler you will hit atleast least 4.8ghz. If your dead set on getting a chip that can't overclock get the 4790 its over 500mhz faster than the 4770k for the same price. Regardless of what chip you get a good CPU cooler is a must with haswell chips as they run hot and the stock coolers aren't up to snuff. Just because you get a k chip doesn't mean you have to over clock but its always there is you want it and they only cost $20 more

Most changes aren't that spectacular. I changed the memory back to DDR3-1600, because from a financial point of view it was either the 4790K or the DDR3-2400.

If you want to save some cash get this ram its faster and cheaper
