ORBX AYPY (Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea) Released

Recommended Posts

Available for P3d and FSX, includes several airports and high detail of the famous New Guinea highlands.

Note: It is an FTX Global add on, therefore FTX Global is required.

Also, Orbx has released a freeware Mesh for PNG to properly enhance the terrain features of the area.

This is one fantastic release!

Was expecting the price to be higher than this too.

A no brainer, no matter how you like to fly.

Looks awesome, and very, very dark!

Wonder when ORBX will adjust the tone/contrast or whatever it is, because it´s too dark for me...

What do you think, is it MY eyes having a problem?

I think most ORBX sceneries are like that Frosty.  I actually like it this way, especially with using ENB

Doesn't look that dark to me.

BTW, the ORBX forums have a thread on how AYPY works without Global, in default scenery - not too bad, either, as long as you are aware of the few features missing then, the ones only Global can deliver.

Having lived in Port Moresby for a dozen years I might have to have a look at this one.

Following on ollie4740 in post #7, I have Orbx AYPY without Global but with Pacific Islands Sim's  PNG Bush Flying and it goes very well.

I have not yet worked out what parts of it I am missing out on by not having Global.

actually its not required, it just wont blend in as well ( not terrible, just not as nice ..sort of) but a few posters have it and all works okay

I don't know, I've never lived in Jayapura so I can't compare the two.
