Why does the moon look so bad in X-Plane 10.30?

Here's a screenshot of how the moon looks. Has it always looked this bad? It's very low quality and its pixelated. I have tried installing the updated HD moon from here: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=19217 and it still looks the same.

Anyone? It's really bothering me seeing everything else look so sharp and crisp and then all of a sudden you see the moon looking extremely poor in quality compared to the rest.

All I can really say is my moon doesn't look that way at all so it might be something particular to your setup.

Really? Can you post a screenshot of your moon? I'm not sure why mine looks like that.

It still can be seen across an overcast / fog layer, as if it was reflected on the ground too :-/

I've tried alternative textures, the 4k high res ones and its still pixelated. :( Well glad its not just me, now that I know this is an X-Plane issue that needs to be resolved.

 

That and the annoying sun issue how it appears over mountains and stuff.
