Peter Hager's A380

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm just getting into xplane and while I was looking for aircraft Peter's A380 caught my eye. From what I have seen and read the systems modeling seem quite well. The main question I have is how is the 3D cockpit. I don't like 2D and if the 3D cockpit doesn't hold up that is a deal breaker. Also is the FMS well modeled because if it is not I will end up buying the 757.

I think you'll be disappointed. The PFD NFD MFD s   what ever you want to call them are not high  definition and on moderate zoom become blurry. This for me spoils an otherwise excellent plane..

Updating the A380 displays along with the sea level supersonic modelling to allow the F104 to fly again, are my two main x-plane wishes.

The level of systems modelling isn't great as only the more basic functions of the FMGS are simulated (no SID/STARs, vertical profile and fuel predictions) but you can enter in performance data and calculate TO and approach speeds.

If you're after a well modeled FMS go for the 757. I have that one too and it's a really nice aircraft.

They're working on a 330 at the moment, I believe.

Yes, I know and will be looking forward to some more wide body aircrafts from them.
