Auto launch on a remote PC

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Thanks again for this great app, this is a must, and the more I understand the GPS, the more I like it.

Is there a way to launch on a remote pC buttonMapper2, then FSX simconnect interface, then Panel Builder on one click ?

I currently

1; launch   buttonMapper2, click ok

2 launch  FSX simconnect interface, click connect

3 launch Panel Builder click ok

so 6 clicks and a lot of mouse dragging.

maybe a small .bat file ?

Etienne

look into AHK scripting

it’s a simple scripting language to automate and mimic screen clicks

Thanks Chris but I was hoping that some arguments could be passed to the apps ans scripted like:

@echo off

C:\Program Files (x86)\Panel Builder\ButtonMapper2.exe /launch &

C:\Program Files (x86)\Panel Builder\FSXconnect.exe /Connect &

wait 60

C:\Program Files (x86)\Panel Builder\PanelBuilder.exe /load=C172.dat &

etc

There are command line arguments for:

PanelBuilder.exe start        (starts Panel Builder, loads the last used panel and starts the panel)

simPluginsFSX.exe start       (loads simPluginsFSX and connects)

ButtonMapper2.exe start       (loads ButtonMapper2 and clicks on 'Run')

Yes, a .cmd file would work.

This is great and Reinhard your support is top notch as usual!

Will try and tell you if it works here tonight.

(You should probably mention that in the documentation, as I am not probably the only one that this would help)

you're welcome Etienne

it seems like you found what you were looking for

for reference;

with AHK you can still run executable and pass argument along with scripting screen clicks

for example you can call a batch to perform few actions

wait for it to complete; then run some clicks in the new window

or call built-in functions without actually clicking the gui

send data into cells or arguments with command

its very versatile
