Great news. The cloud shadows in XP are really nice, but the default clouds are horrible..... SMP's clouds are much nicer but as we know they're a no go for shadows.

 

A few months ago John Spahn was saying it couldn't be done..... but it looks like they've cracked it

They won't ever look like that because that would mean regressing to being 2D billboards. If they looked like FSX REX clouds no-one would buy them.

Flying in and out of 2D billboards is a buzz kill ! I take it you have never used Skymaxxpro ? Have you even used Xplane outside of the Demo ?

Its also a major frame rate kill in the case of REX, whilst for most people SMP gives a significant frame rate boost. Now if they could only sort out a decent weather injector
