July 11, 201411 yr Weather is awful where I live, these days. If I'm going to suffer rain and autumn-cold temps, let's do it in scenic landscape. I decided to go North, Iceland. Actually, there is one regular flight between Lyon and Keflavik (International hub of Reykjavik), operated by Wow Air. Having a look at the company's livery, I indeed said WOW but in a negative way. That's where I decided to open the connection with Air France F-HEPG wearing the 80th anniversary livery. Pretty, isnt'it ? Software / websites involved in the pre-flight - routefinder - simroutes - simbrief The route 07:15am, 135 passengers aboard, boarding complete. Lined up RW36L, ready to follow SID BUSIL6N, which basically consists in climbing straight ahead to DANBO, then heading left to BUSIL LFLL is not an important international hub, but can be a busy regional airport. This morning, I am followed by 2 domestic low-cost flights (Hop! by Air France) Approaching BUSIL, passing FL160, above the cloud cover Meeting flight #UAL956, a United Airlines B763 enroute to Geneva from Newark, only 1500 ft below us Making our way throught the clouds... ... to FL340. While approaching LFPG, traffic is badly increasing We leave the French Coast above Calais About one hour later, we reach the TOD Arriving between Reykjavik (West) and Thingvellir National Park (East) Unfortunately while we descend, clouds are not scattering. We are starting to see something only 600 ft above the ground. I decide to keep the AP on to perform a full autoland I am assigned a Follow-me which escorts me to the gate And we're done !
