Linda Assignments back up

Recommended Posts

Hi. I have just reinstalled FSX after doing a clean PC format. Anyway i backed up the whole folder of FSUIPC previously. I assigned buttons for PMDG 737NGX and 777. I was wondering which file exactly i need to copy over so that i don't have to assign buttons again. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Swadeep

Hi Swadeep

I hope your clean build created a FSX folder in your windows root directory. This avoids any admin permission problems.  In addition to LINDA 2.0.7 (fully tested with PMDG 737NGX), you will need to FSUIPC.INI from /FSX/Modules and for each aircraft you fly the config-mcp2.lua files from /FSX/Modules/linda-cfg/{aircraft name} (assuming you are using the MCP Combo II Boeing panel.

i don't use the combo panel. i use just the thrustmaster warthog. which files would i need to copy then? last time i just copied the whole FSUIPC folder but then fsx never started again so i assume maybe the registry problem?? since this is clean install. i installed ezca earlier also and it crashed..i ended up having to reinstall fsx again. worse come to worse i may have to reassign again.

thanks

Hi swadeep

For your TM Warthog joystick you will need the FSX/Modules/linda-cfg/{aircraft}/config-hid.lua which stores your button setups.

You need to reinstall FSUIPC first and then copy the FSUIPC.ini from your backup.  I know nothing about ezca.

Hi swadeep

Simply fsuipc.ini contains all the settings and configuration for FSUIPC including all your Warthog joystick axis data. Open it up in Notepad and have a look BUT DON'T CHANGE IT.
