March 19, 201511 yr I am not as happy with the megascenery 2.0 as a photo scenery only product. It depends on the state. Example both KS & MO were just fine. Colorado was a joke. There are so many shading issues going on there. If you fly over Denver ( The most populated section of the state ) right in the middle of the city are where two sections of scenery join. The east side of the city heading toward the mountains is bright almost fuzzy with little contrast while on the west side the colors and contrast are very good. This same situation goes on throughout the whole state. I just purchased PA and in philly the same thing. Yet Blue Sky scenery ( freeware ) is almost seamless with great coloring and contrast. So why do I continue to buy megascenery? They are really the only game in town except for the rocky mountains west where I continue to add and wait for more blue sky to be released. I too want some night lighting that works over photo scenery and that's all. I can live with no autogen as it is a VAS killer anyway, but I love seeing night lights. I was looking at Talburet 3D night lighting in which they are claiming will work over photo scenery, but I can't find anything on the internet that confirms this?
March 19, 201511 yr A quick follow up, I did find a product called 3DLIGHTS - STREET LIGHTS PROJECT NORTH AMERICA X FSX and they have a demo for Las Vegas so I tried it out over my blue sky scenery. It was exactly what I was hoping for night lighting. Not only did it apply 3 d lights, but it followed the streets of the photo scenery !!! Now the bad news: It dropped my frame rates from 30 fps to 2.3 fps so I had to delete it. Ugggg. Others claim it has no impact on their fps so here is the site you can try it out on. maybe you will have better luck than I . Cheers! http://secure.simmarket.com/3dlights-street-lights-project-north-america-x-fsx.phtml
March 19, 201511 yr I bought MS 2 last week when it was cheap. It was the British Isles. I can confirm that Night Environment British Isles works great. Lots and lots of lights and very little frame drop. Hope this helps some one.
