Ron,

It has a special place in my heart. All the time, but mostly during this part of the summer. I met Paul once. During EAA Airventure he was a very busy man. I was just huffin and puffin along Knapp St. (parallel to rwy 18/36) when I nearly got T-Boned. This was 4, maybe 5+ years ago. I soiled my shorts! I look back and it was Red 1 w/ Paul inside! He looked at me as I was ghost white, got out of the car and said sorry. I was nearly speechless - "No Problem Paul, Pleasure to meet you."

I didn't realise you were so famous, even if it is only by proxy. Proxy's good.

Getting set to depart Felts Field. Like an old western movie. 1 rabbit, 3 dukes & 2 mustangs.

Ron's gorgeous repaint of the Lancair IV-P N5VZ, rolling.

Jeff in the "bare metal" stang. When the sun was shining directly on, it was blinding bright.

Dukes inbound to Kaslo (CBR2) with someone leaving their mark. :-)

Apart from Josh's air conditioning springing a leak midway through the flight, a most enjoyable evening. And no, I will NOT be getting a smart phone!

"Average" indeed! (said tongue-in-cheek).  Nice pix, Roman. I'm glad you decided to post them.

Was just kidding Craig. Was planning on showing pictures anyway.  It was a nice flight except.. For my flying. I littered aluminum all over the place at 2 airfields.. Really had a hard time. As Bert said, it was a lot of fun though!

Ron,

 My Friend.

I am sick and tired you calling someone "Pauly" while us Americans get stuck with a great little mini-series on PBS called "The Bletchley Circle".

Once, and for all, it is pronounced (Just for you) -
