Speed M.46 ... At 34000 Feet ?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys  ,

the title says it all ,

just finished reinstalling windows 7 ,fsx  , and only the 777,

Taking off the plane is Climbing at 320 knots with 6100 fpm. i used a 51 to1 setting and climb 2 while having 174000 lbs fuel on board and zfw 440000 lbs .. leveling off at 34000 and the mach speed stays at .46.

I have ias set in the conf screen from fsx and i think i must be overlooking something simple but getting a little frustrated at this moment , never had any problems with this plane  never oom flew OMDB KIAH OMDB without restarting fsx in KIAH never had problems until Thursday when suddenly oom after a 2 hours into flight above the atlantic...

Thanks in advance ,

Gérard

Hi, Gérard,

What is your TAT showing on the EICAS?  Some external programs inject high temperatures at high altitudes which might cause this problem.

Hi Mike , at this moment i m usnig cleat fsx weather

Hi, Gérard,

What is the actual TAT (True Air Temperature) showing on the EICAS?

Also, what airspeed is showing on the PFD, and what Ground Speed?

Could this be some kind of programmed failure?

Only other thing I can think of is anti-icing not on, but FL340 seems too high for that, and it should also affect the IAS.

Hi Mike

at this moment i m reinstalling the 777 again , airspeed was 320 and anti ice deffinately not on  , also this never had before , seems that more and more things are starting to happening .

I m gonna install ASN also  to be sure i get a correct temperature ,

My sestem is oc to 4.7 without problems , can go to 4.9 but 4.7 is enough but when i reinstall i set it back to default settings  , and back to oc when everything is installed again.

FSX is installed outside the C program files directory on its own seperate drive with nothing further on it ..

This is driving me nuts for the last days ,

Will report back after reinstalling ,

Thanks for the help ,

Gérard

Hi, Gérard,

It's hard for me to help when I can't see your system and you don't answer the specific questions I asked.

Ant -ice should be on, specifically in "Auto."

I would not install ASN until you get this issue resolved.  Adding ASN or any other program will just add more uncertainty into the mix.  If anything, go back to FS X's default clear weather setting.

Looks like your original problem is fixed!

Regarding freezes, there are several different type, all of which PMDG is working to fix.  Please take a look at this thread if you haven't seen  it already:

They should be coming out with fixes for some of them very soon.
